Brent “Miguel” Wang—known professionally as Miguel Chang’s—is an internationally renowned floral artist and Master Chef with a distinguished 35-year career spanning the global floral and culinary industries.

Brent began his professional journey in Los Angeles, where he developed an early passion for botanical artistry, foraging, and food, working simultaneously as a florist and cook in catering companies, bars, and private events. In 2010, he joined the kitchen team at Northern Spy Food Company, where he refined his skills as a disciplined, technique-driven cook and solidified his culinary foundation.

Over the years, Brent has worked across Los Angeles, Richmond, Honolulu, and New York City, gaining experience in a wide range of kitchens and hospitality environments, including Tar & Roses and Brenner Pass. In the summer of 2012, he began catering private events, developing his signature Ethno-American™ style—an expressive cuisine that blends global influences with deeply personal, culturally rooted flavors.

Parallel to his culinary career, Brent has built an extraordinary reputation in the floral world. His distinguished clientele includes A-list celebrities and high-profile figures worldwide, establishing him as one of the most sought-after floral designers in the industry. After relocating to New York City more than two decades ago, he played a pivotal role in shaping modern floral design, honing his craft at some of the city’s most prestigious institutions, including The Velvet Garden, Ovando, Renny & Reed, HollyFlora, and Eric Buterbaugh.

Brent’s work spans classic Parisian pavé techniques, contemporary structural arrangements, and the romantic silhouettes that define modern luxury events. As both a master florist and chef, he brings a rare, cross-disciplinary perspective—where food, design, and hospitality intersect—to every experience he creates.

Today, Brent continues to expand his legacy by sharing his expertise across both disciplines, crafting immersive, thoughtful experiences that balance artistry, technique, and emotional resonance. His work reflects a belief that beauty—whether on the plate or in the room—should be intentional, layered, and unforgettable.
